Narrative:
After calling rotation speed we experienced violent compressor stalls, EICAS indications showed #3 engine egt rising rapidly, exceeding takeoff maximum. Instrument marking line and bold in red, I elected to shut down the engine. Declared emergency. Standard emergency procedures followed with a climb to 6000 ft. Fuel was dumped to landing weight. All checklists performed in accordance to SOP. Landed without further incident.
