Narrative:

ATC asked if we had an MD11 base leg runway 24R in sight. We said we had traffic in sight base leg. At 2 mi outside OM, received RA which told us to descend for traffic. I noticed MD11 overshooting runway 24R and lining up on runway 25L. I immediately stopped descent and climbed left, away from traffic. At same time, MD11 turned back to runway 24R. When conflict was gone, I turned and landed on runway 25L. If we had followed RA to descend, it would have descended us into MD11.
