Narrative:
We were sbound on UG438 10 mi south of rng when we received a TCASII TA on an aircraft that was at our altitude climbing to FL330, at 2 O'clock and about 7 mi. Moments later we received an RA to descend. The captain disconnected the autoplt and descended into the green band on the vsi as commanded by the TCASII. I turned on all exterior lights while we tried to visually acquire the other aircraft. As we leveled at about FL310 we sighted an aircraft at 12 O'clock and 1-2 mi at FL330. After we received the clear of conflict call from TCASII, we climbed back up to FL330 and advised bogata center on frequency 123.7 of our actions. The controller told us that he had both of us in radar contact and that the other aircraft was in a descent from FL330 to FL280. The other aircraft idented themselves as en route from pty to bog and said they were level at FL330. The controller made no further comments in english. The captain made a PA informing the passenger of what happened and we continued to uio without further incident.

Title: FLC OF A B757 TOOK EVASIVE ACTION IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA DURING HIGH ALT CRUISE OVER A FOREIGN COUNTRY. TCASII HELPED SAVE THE DAY.
Narrative: WE WERE SBOUND ON UG438 10 MI S OF RNG WHEN WE RECEIVED A TCASII TA ON AN ACFT THAT WAS AT OUR ALT CLBING TO FL330, AT 2 O'CLOCK AND ABOUT 7 MI. MOMENTS LATER WE RECEIVED AN RA TO DSND. THE CAPT DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND DSNDED INTO THE GREEN BAND ON THE VSI AS COMMANDED BY THE TCASII. I TURNED ON ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WHILE WE TRIED TO VISUALLY ACQUIRE THE OTHER ACFT. AS WE LEVELED AT ABOUT FL310 WE SIGHTED AN ACFT AT 12 O'CLOCK AND 1-2 MI AT FL330. AFTER WE RECEIVED THE CLR OF CONFLICT CALL FROM TCASII, WE CLBED BACK UP TO FL330 AND ADVISED BOGATA CTR ON FREQ 123.7 OF OUR ACTIONS. THE CTLR TOLD US THAT HE HAD BOTH OF US IN RADAR CONTACT AND THAT THE OTHER ACFT WAS IN A DSCNT FROM FL330 TO FL280. THE OTHER ACFT IDENTED THEMSELVES AS ENRTE FROM PTY TO BOG AND SAID THEY WERE LEVEL AT FL330. THE CTLR MADE NO FURTHER COMMENTS IN ENGLISH. THE CAPT MADE A PA INFORMING THE PAX OF WHAT HAPPENED AND WE CONTINUED TO UIO WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
