Narrative:
During taxi out from a very tight congested area following strict gate departure procedures, apparently an unattended baggage cart was driven into an adjoining aircraft at the next gate by exhaust from our aircraft causing minor damage to the other aircraft. The gate push back and departure procedures as now required always put the adjacent aircraft at risk. Procedures need to be revised so that the aircraft departing gate will not be required to turn tail to gate Y terminal. Also, ground equipment should be parked parallel to aircraft with brakes set or chocked.

Title: WHILE DEPARTING THE GATE, MLG JET BLAST BLEW A BAGGAGE CART INTO AN ACFT PARKED AT AN ADJACENT GATE. BAGGAGE CART HAD NO BRAKES SET OR CHOCKS INSTALLED.
Narrative: DURING TAXI OUT FROM A VERY TIGHT CONGESTED AREA FOLLOWING STRICT GATE DEP PROCS, APPARENTLY AN UNATTENDED BAGGAGE CART WAS DRIVEN INTO AN ADJOINING ACFT AT THE NEXT GATE BY EXHAUST FROM OUR ACFT CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE OTHER ACFT. THE GATE PUSH BACK AND DEP PROCS AS NOW REQUIRED ALWAYS PUT THE ADJACENT ACFT AT RISK. PROCS NEED TO BE REVISED SO THAT THE ACFT DEPARTING GATE WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO TURN TAIL TO GATE Y TERMINAL. ALSO, GND EQUIP SHOULD BE PARKED PARALLEL TO ACFT WITH BRAKES SET OR CHOCKED.
