Air carrier X was nebound at FL290. Air carrier Y was northbound at FL310. I descended air carrier Y to FL280 and separation was lost with air carrier X. Supplemental information from acn 355319: B727 was cleared to descend from FL310 to FL280. L1011 was under at FL290. Loss of separation was 2.9 mi and 600 ft.
