Narrative:
On final approach, ond and one half mi out at approximately 1400 ft MSL (600 ft AGL), noted aircraft at approximately 1800 ft MSL on right, 1 mi ahead. Looked like an errant pilot wandering through area. We kept in sight as he passed over us. Then noted his turn toward the runway. Since he was slower than we were, we applied full throttle, continued descent, sidestepped right, then executed a low approach and departure. Aircraft was not sighted again.

Narrative: ON FINAL APCH, OND AND ONE HALF MI OUT AT APPROX 1400 FT MSL (600 FT AGL), NOTED ACFT AT APPROX 1800 FT MSL ON R, 1 MI AHEAD. LOOKED LIKE AN ERRANT PLT WANDERING THROUGH AREA. WE KEPT IN SIGHT AS HE PASSED OVER US. THEN NOTED HIS TURN TOWARD THE RWY. SINCE HE WAS SLOWER THAN WE WERE, WE APPLIED FULL THROTTLE, CONTINUED DSCNT, SIDESTEPPED R, THEN EXECUTED A LOW APCH AND DEP. ACFT WAS NOT SIGHTED AGAIN.
