Narrative:
I was xporting a 3 yr old child and his mother from lit to mdw. As I was taking off, the child began to cry into the open intercom microphone. Confusion followed! I inadvertently turned through the assigned heading and made a 360 degree turn over the airport while climbing. Lesson learned is to turn off the intercom and to better instruct passenger.
