Narrative:
After takeoff a flight attendant in the aft cabin advised a noise was heard in tail area on rotation. Suspected tail strike and a return to lax was initiated. 38000 pounds of fuel was jettisoned and an overweight landing (338000 pounds) was made at lax.

Title: B767 HIT TAILSKID ON TKOF. FLT ATTENDANT IN AFT CABIN ADVISED FLC OF NOISE AT ROTATION. FLC JETTISONED FUEL AND RETURNED FOR OVERWT LNDG.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF A FLT ATTENDANT IN THE AFT CABIN ADVISED A NOISE WAS HEARD IN TAIL AREA ON ROTATION. SUSPECTED TAIL STRIKE AND A RETURN TO LAX WAS INITIATED. 38000 LBS OF FUEL WAS JETTISONED AND AN OVERWT LNDG (338000 LBS) WAS MADE AT LAX.
