Narrative:
After an aborted takeoff because of a rumbling nosewheel, I was attempting to use the special flight rules area departing toa to the smo VOR. After transiting the area and trying to track victor airways 23 while staying out of bur class C airspace, I inadvertently strayed into lax class B airspace with a base of 4000 ft at an altitude of 4500 ft MSL. The problem arose and the contributing factors were: 1) my inexperience with the lax class B airspace and VFR flight corridors. This was my first flight in and out of this airspace with toa as my destination. Not being familiar with this area, things occurred rapidly beginning with the aborted takeoff and the attempt to transit the VFR corridor. 2) my mind set was on not violating the bur class C airspace which prevented me from maintaining complete situational awareness. The violation was pointed out to me by ATC after I obtained flight following. The following corrective actions will be taken: 1) I will never, ever again attempt to navigation unfamiliar, congested, controled airspace without contacting ATC for clearance and or assistance. Contacting socal approach prior to transiting the VFR corridor for assistance and flight following would have given me the proper aid in staying safe. 2) I will recognize that controled, congested airspace with events occurring rapidly can lead to a degrading of performance and accurate decision making. ATC approach can help eliminate this. 3) I will not abandon my usual procedure of flying with flight following.

Title: C172 FLYING FROM TOA TO SMO VOR ENTERED LAX CLASS B WHILE CONCENTRATING ON STAYING CLR OF BUR CLASS C AIRSPACE.
Narrative: AFTER AN ABORTED TKOF BECAUSE OF A RUMBLING NOSEWHEEL, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO USE THE SPECIAL FLT RULES AREA DEPARTING TOA TO THE SMO VOR. AFTER TRANSITING THE AREA AND TRYING TO TRACK VICTOR AIRWAYS 23 WHILE STAYING OUT OF BUR CLASS C AIRSPACE, I INADVERTENTLY STRAYED INTO LAX CLASS B AIRSPACE WITH A BASE OF 4000 FT AT AN ALT OF 4500 FT MSL. THE VIOLATION WAS POINTED OUT TO ME BY ATC AFTER I OBTAINED FLT FOLLOWING. THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN: 1) I WILL NEVER, EVER AGAIN ATTEMPT TO NAV UNFAMILIAR, CONGESTED, CTLED AIRSPACE WITHOUT CONTACTING ATC FOR CLRNC AND OR ASSISTANCE. CONTACTING SOCAL APCH PRIOR TO TRANSITING THE VFR CORRIDOR FOR ASSISTANCE AND FLT FOLLOWING WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE PROPER AID IN STAYING SAFE. 2) I WILL RECOGNIZE THAT CTLED, CONGESTED AIRSPACE WITH EVENTS OCCURRING RAPIDLY CAN LEAD TO A DEGRADING OF PERFORMANCE AND ACCURATE DECISION MAKING. ATC APCH CAN HELP ELIMINATE THIS. 3) I WILL NOT ABANDON MY USUAL PROC OF FLYING WITH FLT FOLLOWING.
