Narrative:

We had crossed the 'huo' VOR outbound on the 314 degree radial for 17 NM. We flew past the rager intersection by about 5 mi inadvertently. The controller queried us about our direction and we immediately resumed our course and flight planned route. We were picking up a substantial amount of ice. I was checking the wing and was fatigued and had not noticed the error. We did have the charts out and were referring to them. On this trip, boston and new york usually work together to give us direct from huo to alb, tonight, because of congestion, we had to stay on the route.
