Narrative:
Taxiing into gate, aircraft struck a vertical pipe from a fuel truck. The left wingtip light was cracked and a small dent was left on the outboard wing fairing. Aircraft was being directed by ground personnel. The director did not see the warning given by the left wing walker because he was watching our nose gear in preparation for giving us the stop signal to align with the jetway.

Title: A B727 WINGTIP HIT A STANDPIPE ON A FUEL TRUCK WHILE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A TAXI MARSHALLER AND 2 WING WALKERS.
Narrative: TAXIING INTO GATE, ACFT STRUCK A VERT PIPE FROM A FUEL TRUCK. THE L WINGTIP LIGHT WAS CRACKED AND A SMALL DENT WAS LEFT ON THE OUTBOARD WING FAIRING. ACFT WAS BEING DIRECTED BY GND PERSONNEL. THE DIRECTOR DID NOT SEE THE WARNING GIVEN BY THE L WING WALKER BECAUSE HE WAS WATCHING OUR NOSE GEAR IN PREPARATION FOR GIVING US THE STOP SIGNAL TO ALIGN WITH THE JETWAY.
