Narrative:

Location: ewr gate. I forgot we had not finished being fueled and I allowed the gate agent to close the forward entry door. When my flight engineer reminded me I called operations and requested the jetbridge be pulled back up to the aircraft, but we finished being fueled before that could be accomplished. So, we pushed back without further incident.

Title: B727 PIC ALLOWS GATE AGENT TO CLOSE PAX DOOR PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF RAMP OP GND REFUELING PROC.

Narrative: LOCATION: EWR GATE. I FORGOT WE HAD NOT FINISHED BEING FUELED AND I ALLOWED THE GATE AGENT TO CLOSE THE FORWARD ENTRY DOOR. WHEN MY FE REMINDED ME I CALLED OPS AND REQUESTED THE JETBRIDGE BE PULLED BACK UP TO THE ACFT, BUT WE FINISHED BEING FUELED BEFORE THAT COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. SO, WE PUSHED BACK WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
