Narrative:

On vectors for approach aircraft was assigned a heading with a clearance to join the lda. We asked for a verification and controller then said fly 190 degree heading but did not say cleared for approach. We flew through lda and then ATC assigned new heading to intercept the approach. Approach controller asked if we were on the lda, we responded no because we were on a heading from the previous frequency.

Narrative: ON VECTORS FOR APCH ACFT WAS ASSIGNED A HEADING WITH A CLRNC TO JOIN THE LDA. WE ASKED FOR A VERIFICATION AND CTLR THEN SAID FLY 190 DEG HDG BUT DID NOT SAY CLRED FOR APCH. WE FLEW THROUGH LDA AND THEN ATC ASSIGNED NEW HEADING TO INTERCEPT THE APCH. APCH CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE ON THE LDA, WE RESPONDED NO BECAUSE WE WERE ON A HEADING FROM THE PREVIOUS FREQ.
