Narrative:
At approximately XA40Z the main computer system at ZMA failed. During the switch-over to the backup system, the keyboards were locked out. The controllers were unable to make any input to either system. All departures from mia were stopped for about 15 mins. Supplemental information from acn 361002: NAS failed, but when darc was used, all functionality was tied off. The restoration of darc functions, and then the host, were unduly delayed.

Title: ZMA HOST COMPUTER FAILED, THEN DURING SWITCH TO DARC BACKUP THE CTLRS WERE LOCKED OUT ON THEIR KEYBOARDS. SUPVR CTLR WORKING AT SECTOR SAYS THE OUTAGE WAS TOO LONG AND THAT FLTS FROM MIA WERE DELAYED.
