Narrative:

On climb out at 6000 ft, experienced #1 strut overheat. Procedures followed. #1 bleed valve closed, left pack off, and forward outflow valve closed. Light went out. Advised dispatch and maintenance control. Continued for normal destination. Climbed to FL290. Observed cabin altitude climbing past 7000 ft. Initiated descent, looking for altitude that would hold cabin. Cabin kept climbing, eventually reaching 10500 ft. Continued rapid descent with assistance of ZJX. Leveled at 9000 ft. Conferred with company and diverted to atl for maintenance.
