Narrative:
Extreme horrendous spike in aircraft pressurization. Lasting an extremely unusual amount of time. No response from flight deck. Kept trying to call them. I even got out of my jumpseat and banged with my fist on the cockpit door. No one was answering. My passengers were hailing me. I advised them that crew was working on situation of aircraft pressure. Advised them to massage their ears and to move their jaws and to keep swallowing and a chewing motion going. Went again back to phone and again tried to reach cockpit. My passenger's baby had already shrieked at this time. Passengers were crying. Horrible; awful. Finally got a response from the cockpit. They explained spike in pressurization. I explained to my miserable passengers. They came on speaker and apologized for aircraft pressurization. Now under control. Do not remember the time. Crew was working on it but should be something that could be done much faster.
