C152 was issued a 10 degree right turn after takeoff for separation from a departing B737 on the same runway. Traffic was given to the B737 and further right turn to a heading of 120 degrees was issued to the C152. The C152 pilot started a right turn, then began turning back left. The controller intervened again, however, the B737 was in the process of taking evasive action to miss the C152.

Narrative:
Cessna departed runway 8L. Cessna was instructed to turn 10 degrees right for a B737 to depart behind. Cessna acknowledged. B737 departed runway 8L and was issued cessna traffic. Cessna was told to turn right heading 120 degrees. Cessna started to turn right, then began a turn to the left. Cessna was told to start right turn now and then he complied. B737 took evasive action to miss cessna.
