Narrative:
At XD15Z approximately 40 NM east of atl at FL280 flight encountered a small area of moderate turbulence while deviating 50 NM east of convective WX. The seat belt sign was on for the entire flight up to that point. A PA was made after leveloff stating that we might encounter turbulence en route and that all passenger should remain seated with their seat belts fastened. A second PA was made approximately 5 mins prior to the turbulence encounter stating the same. Flight attendant #1 also made a PA at this time stating that all passenger should remain seated with their seat belts fastened. 5 passenger reported minor injuries. Their names and seat numbers were given to dispatch. Flight attendant also reported being injured. At no time did any information indicate that any of the injuries were serious enough to warrant an air interruption. We therefore continued to ord. Approach and landing were uneventful. Paramedics met flight upon arrival.
