Narrative:
Special message with release paperwork for flight was highlighted in operations. Shortly before leaving the gate, a heavy mist or very light rain fell, making the surface of txwys wet. No one was in front of us during the taxi, and approaching taxiway Y at the takeoff end of runway 8 I noticed the old hold short yellow lines perpendicular to the runway. The combination of 1) light glare off the taxiway, 2) incomplete removal of old painted over yellow hold short line, and 3) my forgetting the contents of the special message, I proceeded beyond the new hold short line. Sju tower informed me to hold short of the runway, and that the hold short point was behind us about 200 ft. We acknowledged the hold short of the runway clearance, and stopped immediately while still facing west. We had not yet turned on taxiway Y. This was the captain's error as the first officer was concerned with a new load closeout after we had already completed all pretkof checklists.
