Narrative:
We called for taxi to runway 27L, hold short of runway 30 at taxiway L1. We read back these instructions, taxied west on taxiway left and turned south on taxiway L1. We crossed the hold short line for runway 27R and stopped. The crew noticed an aircraft had been cleared for takeoff and would have crashed into our jet had we not held short. We understood from ground that we were cleared to runway 27L. After the jet flew past we noticed a heavy jet holding short for takeoff runway 27R. We called ground control and informed them that we had crossed the hold short at taxiway L1 and that we had to cross before another jet departed. We informed ground of his error in taxi instructions. Ground told us that since he heard us call holding short that the jet was cleared for takeoff. This is not true. We told ground to 'pull the tapes' and not to allow another aircraft to cross prior to our crossing. We asked ground if he intended for us to cross runway 27R and proceed to runway 27L, he said no.

Title: FLC RPTR OF B747 CLAIMS GND CTLR ISSUED TAXI CLRNC TO RWY 27L TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30. THE B747 CROSSED THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 27R AND SHORT OF THE RWY DUE TKOF TFC. RPTR ALLEGES THE GND CTLR SAID HE HEARD THE FLC CALL HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 27R. THE FLC DENY THIS. OPERROR.
Narrative: WE CALLED FOR TAXI TO RWY 27L, HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30 AT TXWY L1. WE READ BACK THESE INSTRUCTIONS, TAXIED W ON TXWY L AND TURNED S ON TXWY L1. WE CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 27R AND STOPPED. THE CREW NOTICED AN ACFT HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF AND WOULD HAVE CRASHED INTO OUR JET HAD WE NOT HELD SHORT. WE UNDERSTOOD FROM GND THAT WE WERE CLRED TO RWY 27L. AFTER THE JET FLEW PAST WE NOTICED A HVY JET HOLDING SHORT FOR TKOF RWY 27R. WE CALLED GND CTL AND INFORMED THEM THAT WE HAD CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT AT TXWY L1 AND THAT WE HAD TO CROSS BEFORE ANOTHER JET DEPARTED. WE INFORMED GND OF HIS ERROR IN TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. GND TOLD US THAT SINCE HE HEARD US CALL HOLDING SHORT THAT THE JET WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. THIS IS NOT TRUE. WE TOLD GND TO 'PULL THE TAPES' AND NOT TO ALLOW ANOTHER ACFT TO CROSS PRIOR TO OUR XING.
