Narrative:
During cruise flight, smoke was detected. Asked controller for lower altitude, lower altitude was given. Radar vectors given to lkn visual approach was made to runway 35R. Front vent blower motor was found to be inoperative. Circuit breaker was thrown, pulled circuit breaker. No MEL on board, elected to continue without front blower. Repaired next day.

Title: PIC OF BE20 SUPER KING AIR DETECTS SMOKE IN COCKPIT, DSNDS AND GETS VECTORS TO LNK, JUST 50 MI AWAY. BLOWER MOTOR FOR FRONT WINDOW VENT HAD TRIPPED A CIRCUIT BREAKER DURING ITS OVERHEAT AND FAILURE. DEPARTS LNK WITHOUT REPAIRS.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE FLT, SMOKE WAS DETECTED. ASKED CTLR FOR LOWER ALT, LOWER ALT WAS GIVEN. RADAR VECTORS GIVEN TO LKN VISUAL APCH WAS MADE TO RWY 35R. FRONT VENT BLOWER MOTOR WAS FOUND TO BE INOP. CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS THROWN, PULLED CIRCUIT BREAKER. NO MEL ON BOARD, ELECTED TO CONTINUE WITHOUT FRONT BLOWER. REPAIRED NEXT DAY.
