Narrative:
Dfw chief pilot contacted me at home and informed me that maintenance said that I entered discrepancies in E-6 just to have aircraft taken OTS. After a few days, I looked up the maintenance history of the aircraft. Maintenance found same discrepancies of excessively low engine RPM and then replaced the fuel control on both engines. I was not the only captain to log low engine RPM. It was a repeat write-up. The captain is the last line of defense in the safety chain. Under no circumstances will I be intimidated or harassed into flying an unsafe aircraft.
