Narrative:

Aircraft landed with a passenger in the aft lavatory. Flight attendant made repeated attempts to notify the passenger of landing, but the passenger would not respond. Because the landing was assured, and there was no urgent communication coming from the cabin crew, we decided to land without any further incident. Probable cause of this occurrence was the current communication procedure between cabin and flight crew during a critical phase of flight (below 500 ft AGL). A more timely decision by flight attendant to notify pilots of the problem would have remedied the situation.
