Narrative:

ATC requested 170 KTS and on approach, with flaps 15% and landing gear down, before completing the landing checklist, extra (jump seat) pilot advised the captain flying that he still had his in-flight spoilers deployed. Captain had used the spoilers during descent and had forgotten to retract them. Spoilers are on the landing checklist and I believe had the jump seater not spoken out, we (the crew) would have corrected the improper confign within the next 30 seconds while doing the landing checklist.
