Narrative:

After extensive maintenance delay, all scheduled passenger were diverted to another msp flight. We left the gate with 2 passenger and a crew of 8, so we called load control with the corrections and took off. While climbing through 1000 ft AGL, we received an ACARS message stating we were tail heavy and illegal to fly. In verbal discussion with msp dispatch, we determined to move the 2 flight attendants from the rear jump seat to first class for landing. As another precautionary measure, the flight attendants briefed the 2 non revenue passenger of the unusual situation prompting the abnormal seating arrangement. Normal landing ensued, as was the takeoff.
