Narrative:
The B727 we fly has a maximum landing weight of 150000 pounds. We were coming in from cancun to stl. In cancun we were over fueled by the local fueler. By the time I ran outside to tell him to stop we had received an extra 3000 pounds. The captain seemed bothered at first but said let's go. I thought that he would know to burn this fuel that was extra. He was aware of the extra fuel throughout the trip. As we got closer to stl it became apparent that we were overweight. It did not bother him. The 150000 pounds landing weight is company imposed, the plane's structural limit has a higher landing weight. Knowing this I did not make too much of an objection. We landed 2000+ pounds overweight. He told me to adjust the number to under 149.9 for the company. This was wrong and I should have objected more strongly. Next time I will be more firm in my position.

Title: PIC OF A B727-200 ALLOWS AN OVERWT LNDG TO BE MADE. THE EXTRA WT WAS FROM ACCIDENTAL OVER FUELING AT DEP ARPT. PIC ACCEPTED THE EXTRA FUEL AFTER THE FACT AND HAD THE SO ENTER A NON OVERWT FIGURE IN LOGBOOK AT DEST ARPT.
