Narrative:

Flight was from pit to sfo. Clearance included bld J92 oal. I inadvertently programmed bld direct oal in the FMC. I used my usual double check of the FMC distance versus the flight plan distance, but there was very little difference and on a 2000+ mi flight it seemed acceptable. The captain did not check my programming. When we got to bld and turned direct oal, ZLA questioned where we were headed and provided a vector. We were about to fly into a restr area. The automation definitely made me and the captain too complacent about operating the flight, and crew coordination was lacking.
