Narrative:
After missing the NDB approach at mmu due to poor visibility and moderate turbulence in heavy snow, the altitude select function was not reset by the PNF to the missed approach altitude after the PF called the miss. Additional factors were: the autothrottles went to go around thrust upon initiation of the miss, another vertical mode was not selected by the PF immediately due to the distraction and the aircraft overshot the short climb from the MDA of 860 ft MSL to the missed approach altitude of 2000 ft by 400-500 ft. Corrections were made right away and the flight continued and landed without incident.
