Narrative:
Departure out of tpe, taiwan. Assigned anpu one, kikit transition departure. Initial departure was our navigation on instruments. About 5000 ft started receiving radar vectors, while continuing to climb. Then were told to resume departure. At that time we were in moderate turbulence due to gusty high winds. In trying to read the departure page the course was picked as '052' to amber one. Instead the course should have been '072.' we had not been on 052 very long at all when questioned by departure control. We found the error and returned to course. We picked the wrong course off the chart during a busy time of the flight during moderate turbulence and restr light. It was our error but contributing. This page 20-3 out of tpe shows departures for 3 runways with entries to 3 airways. Way too many lines and numbers to be effectively read in turbulence and restr light.
