Narrative:
I went missed in drt. My alternate was below minimums. I called company flight control to get clearance to larado. En route to larado, thunderstorms closed larado. I called flight control again and was cleared to dfw, my airport of origin. However, with the change of destination, I never received an amendment to my flight release. While in the thunderstorms the radar was not working correctly. Once in the clear I write it up. On the ground the radar checked normal. In the thunderstorm without a radar I was trying to get in the clear and never officially had my flight release amended. Our company just went part 121. The dispatcher was by himself in his second week of the transition.
