Narrative:
I got off course and lost on a solo cross country flight from flo to gmu. I believe that I got off course by a crosswind from the south, when I was expecting a headwind from 360 degrees. I also did not make good verification of landmarks. It was somewhat hazy, so it was difficult to pick out landmarks in the distance. By the time I could pick out clt airport, I was too close, and in clt's class B airspace. I thought that clt was columbia, sc, so I tried to contact columbia approach, ZTL, FSS, greer approach. I was unable to contact any of them. I should have tuned to the emergency frequency, but I did not. I was quite shaken up by now, and since I thought that was columbia, I thought I would follow the lake up to fdw where I would know where I was. I never saw fdw since it was clt instead of columbia. I then saw an uncontrolled airport, and decided to land. Svh was where I was. In being fatigued and shaken up, I made a mistake of flying a r-hand pattern instead of a l-hand pattern for the runway. I realized what I had done once I had landed.

Title: STUDENT PLT FLYING AN SMA ON SOLO XCOUNTRY FLT GOT LOST AND ENTERED CLT CLASS B AIRSPACE. PLT LEFT CLT AIRSPACE, FOUND AND LANDED AT AN UNCTLED ARPT TO GET REORIENTED.
Narrative: I GOT OFF COURSE AND LOST ON A SOLO XCOUNTRY FLT FROM FLO TO GMU. I BELIEVE THAT I GOT OFF COURSE BY A XWIND FROM THE S, WHEN I WAS EXPECTING A HEADWIND FROM 360 DEGS. I ALSO DID NOT MAKE GOOD VERIFICATION OF LANDMARKS. IT WAS SOMEWHAT HAZY, SO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO PICK OUT LANDMARKS IN THE DISTANCE. BY THE TIME I COULD PICK OUT CLT ARPT, I WAS TOO CLOSE, AND IN CLT'S CLASS B AIRSPACE. I THOUGHT THAT CLT WAS COLUMBIA, SC, SO I TRIED TO CONTACT COLUMBIA APCH, ZTL, FSS, GREER APCH. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT ANY OF THEM. I SHOULD HAVE TUNED TO THE EMER FREQ, BUT I DID NOT. I WAS QUITE SHAKEN UP BY NOW, AND SINCE I THOUGHT THAT WAS COLUMBIA, I THOUGHT I WOULD FOLLOW THE LAKE UP TO FDW WHERE I WOULD KNOW WHERE I WAS. I NEVER SAW FDW SINCE IT WAS CLT INSTEAD OF COLUMBIA. I THEN SAW AN UNCTLED ARPT, AND DECIDED TO LAND. SVH WAS WHERE I WAS. IN BEING FATIGUED AND SHAKEN UP, I MADE A MISTAKE OF FLYING A R-HAND PATTERN INSTEAD OF A L-HAND PATTERN FOR THE RWY. I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE ONCE I HAD LANDED.
