Narrative:
Landed at hwd for purpose of installing ferry tanks. Previously instructed to park at jet center. After turning off runway, advised ground I would need directions to FBO. Ground never mentioned that FBO was the easily visible gas pump island. Instead, taxied me completely around the island and then told me to park by an airplane behind me. I advised I would have to make a 180 degree turn. Because of parked aircraft, this necessitated a turn to the right over an area that appeared to be paved tarmac. However, off my right wing and not visible from the cockpit was a 2 ft fire plug protected by 2 ft concrete posts. I turned directly into this obstacle, damaging the nose gear and left propeller and engine.

Title: A PA34 PLT TAXIES INTO A FIRE PLUG AND ITS PROTECTIVE ISLAND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE L ENG AND PROP AND THE NOSE GEAR.
