Narrative:
On the evening of apr/xx/97, I rented a C172 from a flight school and filed IFR flight plans for the following route: teb to bdl, bdl to gon, gon to teb. I took off from teb at dusk with the intention to pick up clrncs for each leg immediately upon making each landing. The WX was clear and dry. The flight went as planned. I did not experience any problems with the aircraft in-flight, during landing, or on the ground. Upon returning to teb that night, I tied down the aircraft and went home. When I returned to teb the next morning, the owner of the aircraft asked if I had hit anything the previous night. I said I did not think so. We examined the aircraft and discovered that the tip of 1 propeller blade was chipped and bent. In addition, there were tiny bits of blue glass embedded in the propeller. The clear indication was that I had hit a blue taxi light the night before.
