Narrative:
Aircraft track may have appeared to the controller not to be on the arrival route, as the controller gave us a vector to the arrival gate. Controller frequency load was high and voice tone was received as different. No navigation or operations problem was mentioned.

Title: B737 ACFT IN CRUISE WAS VECTORED BY ATC, APPARENTLY BECAUSE THE CTLR NOTED THE ACFT OFF COURSE.
Narrative: ACFT TRACK MAY HAVE APPEARED TO THE CTLR NOT TO BE ON THE ARR RTE, AS THE CTLR GAVE US A VECTOR TO THE ARR GATE. CTLR FREQ LOAD WAS HIGH AND VOICE TONE WAS RECEIVED AS DIFFERENT. NO NAV OR OPS PROB WAS MENTIONED.
