Narrative:
It is well known throughout the savannah, GA, air traffic facility that I have submitted several NASA reports on the poor equipment/maintenance at this facility. I have been instructed not to complain about any procedure/piece of equipment, no matter how safety related it is. Furthermore, I believe, that I am receiving disciplinary action as a result of my whistle-blowing tactics. The entire facility's morale is at an all-time low, the facility is short-staffed, and management is reluctant to call in overtime. Management feels that it can threaten the controller work force with disciplinary action, in order to maintain silence on any safety related matter. It's almost ironic that the facility's operation log(south) for the time period of apr/tue/97 through may/sun/97 contain more entries for equipment failure(south)/malfunction(south) than I can remember.

Title: RPTR SIT OF ALLEGED INSTRUCTIONS FOR RPTR TO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT ANY PROC PIECE OF EQUIP NO MATTER HOW SAFETY RELATED IT IS. RPTR BELIEVES RPTR IS RECEIVING DISCIPLINARY ACTION AS THE RESULT OF WHISTLE BLOWING TACTICS.
Narrative: IT IS WELL KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE SAVANNAH, GA, AIR TFC FACILITY THAT I HAVE SUBMITTED SEVERAL NASA RPTS ON THE POOR EQUIP/MAINT AT THIS FACILITY. I HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED NOT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANY PROC/PIECE OF EQUIP, NO MATTER HOW SAFETY RELATED IT IS. FURTHERMORE, I BELIEVE, THAT I AM RECEIVING DISCIPLINARY ACTION AS A RESULT OF MY WHISTLE-BLOWING TACTICS. THE ENTIRE FACILITY'S MORALE IS AT AN ALL-TIME LOW, THE FACILITY IS SHORT-STAFFED, AND MGMNT IS RELUCTANT TO CALL IN OVERTIME. MGMNT FEELS THAT IT CAN THREATEN THE CTLR WORK FORCE WITH DISCIPLINARY ACTION, IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN SILENCE ON ANY SAFETY RELATED MATTER. IT'S ALMOST IRONIC THAT THE FACILITY'S OP LOG(S) FOR THE TIME PERIOD OF APR/TUE/97 THROUGH MAY/SUN/97 CONTAIN MORE ENTRIES FOR EQUIP FAILURE(S)/MALFUNCTION(S) THAN I CAN REMEMBER.
