Narrative:

Approximately 3 weeks ago, I was being disturbed by airplanes at XA30-XB00. They were traveling away from my house going overhead and to the right over neighboring property. Today, may/tue/97, I am constantly awakened to the sounds of airplanes and they continue all morning long. I have been living at my present residence for 6 yrs and have never been awakened by an airplane. It seems that there have been increased flight traffic and more flts scheduled. Mr X of the san luis obispo airport had made a suggestion that the aircraft from various airlines could depart the center of the airport and go out prado road, to the freeway. He also said the airplanes could travel higher. However, when he visited me at my house and gave me this form he said they couldn't gain elevation that quickly upon this vicinity. He said 'it would be too much work and frustration' to make changes. I live in a very community oriented city. If the garbage recyclers come by a business near a residence and it disturbs a homeowner, you can call someone and they will call the appropriate person and it will be resolved. I feel disappointed that this situation with early departures affecting my sleep is not being resolved. They mentioned they had other complaints through the noise complaint hotline but mr X says I am the only one complaining where I live and the 'only person in san luis obispo' making an issue of this. I don't believe I'm the only one. If the departures could go out over prado road from the runway to the freeway 101 this would resolve the problem. Can you please help me.

Title: CIVILIAN OBSERVER RPTS NOISE FROM NEARBY ARPT OF SBP DISTURBING HER EARLY MORNING HRS IN A MOBILE PARK HOME. REVIEW WITH ARPT MGR RESULTED IN HIS GIVING HER AN ASRS FORM TO COMPLETE.

Narrative: APPROX 3 WKS AGO, I WAS BEING DISTURBED BY AIRPLANES AT XA30-XB00. THEY WERE TRAVELING AWAY FROM MY HOUSE GOING OVERHEAD AND TO THE R OVER NEIGHBORING PROPERTY. TODAY, MAY/TUE/97, I AM CONSTANTLY AWAKENED TO THE SOUNDS OF AIRPLANES AND THEY CONTINUE ALL MORNING LONG. I HAVE BEEN LIVING AT MY PRESENT RESIDENCE FOR 6 YRS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN AWAKENED BY AN AIRPLANE. IT SEEMS THAT THERE HAVE BEEN INCREASED FLT TFC AND MORE FLTS SCHEDULED. MR X OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO ARPT HAD MADE A SUGGESTION THAT THE ACFT FROM VARIOUS AIRLINES COULD DEPART THE CTR OF THE ARPT AND GO OUT PRADO ROAD, TO THE FREEWAY. HE ALSO SAID THE AIRPLANES COULD TRAVEL HIGHER. HOWEVER, WHEN HE VISITED ME AT MY HOUSE AND GAVE ME THIS FORM HE SAID THEY COULDN'T GAIN ELEVATION THAT QUICKLY UPON THIS VICINITY. HE SAID 'IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH WORK AND FRUSTRATION' TO MAKE CHANGES. I LIVE IN A VERY COMMUNITY ORIENTED CITY. IF THE GARBAGE RECYCLERS COME BY A BUSINESS NEAR A RESIDENCE AND IT DISTURBS A HOMEOWNER, YOU CAN CALL SOMEONE AND THEY WILL CALL THE APPROPRIATE PERSON AND IT WILL BE RESOLVED. I FEEL DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS SIT WITH EARLY DEPS AFFECTING MY SLEEP IS NOT BEING RESOLVED. THEY MENTIONED THEY HAD OTHER COMPLAINTS THROUGH THE NOISE COMPLAINT HOTLINE BUT MR X SAYS I AM THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING WHERE I LIVE AND THE 'ONLY PERSON IN SAN LUIS OBISPO' MAKING AN ISSUE OF THIS. I DON'T BELIEVE I'M THE ONLY ONE. IF THE DEPS COULD GO OUT OVER PRADO ROAD FROM THE RWY TO THE FREEWAY 101 THIS WOULD RESOLVE THE PROB. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME.
