Narrative:

On this day I was giving my student a flight lesson in preparation for a stage check. We practiced several types of takeoffs and lndgs. The student had soloed twice in the past. This day was perfect for her third supervised solo flight. The winds were less than 5 KTS down the runway. After several practice lndgs, I exited the aircraft and told her to complete 3 takeoffs and lndgs to full stops. She departed the runway and stayed in the pattern. Upon landing, she didn't flare enough. Due to the flat landing and improper flare she bounced back into the air. She then did not flare enough again and landed nose first. She bounced 1 more time, bending the nose gear and nicking the propeller on the ground. The engine stayed running and she taxied back to the area I was standing at. I taxied the plane back to the ramp and shut it down to look for damage. Before soloing her again, we will address this problem in future lessons.

Title: C152 TRAINING FLT. SPI HAD SOLOED TWICE BEFORE. HAD JUST COMPLETED SEVERAL TOUCH-AND-GO LNDGS WITH INSTRUCTOR. INSTRUCTOR OBSERVING SPI ON SOLO CIRCUIT. ON FIRST APCH DID NOT FLARE ENOUGH AND BOUNCED. ON SECOND BOUNCE DAMAGED NOSE GEAR AND THE PROP STRUCK THE GND. SPI AND INSTRUCTOR RETURNED TO THE RAMP TO INSPECT ACFT FOR DAMAGE.

I TAXIED THE PLANE BACK TO THE RAMP AND SHUT IT DOWN TO LOOK FOR DAMAGE. BEFORE SOLOING HER AGAIN, WE WILL ADDRESS THIS PROB IN FUTURE LESSONS.
