Narrative:
A power outage caused a complete loss of radar, fdep, and WX equipment. The arresting cables used for military fighter aircraft raised and locked in the up position. This meant no civilian aircraft wanted to land or depart over the cable, effectively closing the airport for 30 mins. I feel it is a safety issue that power outages occur here at atlantic city airport and there is no effective backup. There is a better power system for homes than there is for an international airport.
