Narrative:
I preflted aircraft and then untied the aircraft -- winds were calm. I then proceeded to the FBO to use the facility restroom and get the passenger. The PNF also returned to the FBO to get his flight portfolio, he had unchocked the aircraft. As I walked out of the FBO to go to the aircraft, the line manager asked me if I had unchocked the plane -- my response was 'yes I guessed it had been.' he then told me it had rolled across the parking area and struck another aircraft. The other aircraft, a C340 twin, was struck from the right rear quarter and suffered a broken tail piece (struck by the left wing of the cardinal) and some minor damage to the right engine nacelle. The damage to the cardinal appears to be superficial, broken pitot tube, bruised spinner, broken fiberglass front cowl and dented lower cowling. Neither aircraft appeared to have sustained any structural damage. Both aircraft were unattended and not under power. The decision to pull the chocks was wrong -- I'm not the one who made it -- although as PIC it comes back to me.

Title: PLT OF C177 CARDINAL LEFT PARKED ACFT ON RAMP UNTIED. PNF UNCHOCKED RESULTING IN IT ROLLING INTO A PARKED C340 CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH ACFT.
Narrative: I PREFLTED ACFT AND THEN UNTIED THE ACFT -- WINDS WERE CALM. I THEN PROCEEDED TO THE FBO TO USE THE FACILITY RESTROOM AND GET THE PAX.
