Narrative:
IFR flight plan from bna to jqf received vectors 180 degrees off heading for traffic while descending out of about 13000 ft, so canceled IFR. Using GPS we worked our way under and around clt class B. Had a message to call clt approach on telephone. He said that we did penetrate his airspace momentarily but there would be no action taken. He said the radar plot shows the penetration but to the best of my knowledge we were clear. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states the flight crew does not believe they entered the class B airspace. The problem was that the vector they were given was opposite direction to the destination airport. That is why they canceled IFR, to avoid the round about route they were being given. The air carrier's seem to get priority in approach to clt. The flight should take about 35 mins and it always takes 45-50 mins.

Title: MU300 CORPORATE ACFT USES GPS TO NAV AROUND CLASS B AIRSPACE. ATC SAYS THEY ENTERED THE AIRSPACE MOMENTARILY.
Narrative: IFR FLT PLAN FROM BNA TO JQF RECEIVED VECTORS 180 DEGS OFF HDG FOR TFC WHILE DSNDING OUT OF ABOUT 13000 FT, SO CANCELED IFR. USING GPS WE WORKED OUR WAY UNDER AND AROUND CLT CLASS B. HAD A MESSAGE TO CALL CLT APCH ON TELEPHONE. HE SAID THAT WE DID PENETRATE HIS AIRSPACE MOMENTARILY BUT THERE WOULD BE NO ACTION TAKEN. HE SAID THE RADAR PLOT SHOWS THE PENETRATION BUT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE WE WERE CLR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THE FLC DOES NOT BELIEVE THEY ENTERED THE CLASS B AIRSPACE. THE PROB WAS THAT THE VECTOR THEY WERE GIVEN WAS OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO THE DEST ARPT. THAT IS WHY THEY CANCELED IFR, TO AVOID THE ROUND ABOUT RTE THEY WERE BEING GIVEN. THE ACR'S SEEM TO GET PRIORITY IN APCH TO CLT. THE FLT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 35 MINS AND IT ALWAYS TAKES 45-50 MINS.
