Narrative:
While established on the rome 9 arrival into atl, my first officer was flying the aircraft while I was busy getting the ATIS. During this time I stopped monitoring my first officer's flight path. He subsequently missed the crossing restr. In the future, I will first verify that we have completed our compliance with a crossing restr, then while still monitoring the flight path of the PF, perform additional duties required to accomplish the flight.
