Narrative:

On ewr 6 departure, destined for toronto, leveled off at 10000 ft in compliance with ATC clearance. Autoplt was not being used. PF was distraction by referring to his chart and upon refocusing attention on his instruments, noticed altitude had increased to 10200 ft. Climb was arrested and aircraft was returned to 10000 ft. Simultaneous with aircraft descent back to 10000 ft, ATC queried as to altitude and we advised them of our actions.

Narrative: ON EWR 6 DEP, DESTINED FOR TORONTO, LEVELED OFF AT 10000 FT IN COMPLIANCE WITH ATC CLRNC. AUTOPLT WAS NOT BEING USED.
