Narrative:
On jun/xa/97 at approximately XY30 local time, we (captain and I) departed the santa flight engineer, NM, county municipal airport. Captain was the PF on the DO328 to cos. We were given the poake 1 departure, taos transition which reads 'intercept and proceed via santa flight engineer R354 to poake intersection, cross 8 DME north of santa flight engineer VORTAC at or below 9000 ft, cross poake intersection at or above 10000 ft, thence, via assigned transition or route.' there was an airshow in progress at the time of departure. We had the intention of climbing out of the airport area as quickly as possible to avoid any performing aircraft. Because we were climbing so quickly and looking outside for performing aircraft, we climbed up to approximately 10500 ft crossing the 8 DME fix, where we should have been at 9000 ft or below. The ZAB controller asked us about the altitude restr approximately 15 seconds after I realized the mistake. The mistake may have been avoided by being more aware of the altitude restrs or by requesting an unrestr climb to given altitude on departure. Supplemental information from acn 371302: we had been cleared the poake 1 departure from santa flight engineer airport. It was briefed, but I neglected to brief the crossing restr of at or below 9000 ft at 8 DME. It was the end of 6 full days of flying -- both of us were extremely tired. Both of us are usually sticklers for detail and could not believe that we had let this oversight occur.

Title: DO328 FLC OVERSHOT THEIR XING RESTR ALT WHILE CONCENTRATING ON GETTING TO A HIGHER ALT. THERE WAS AN AIRSHOW IN PROGRESS AT SAF.
Narrative: ON JUN/XA/97 AT APPROX XY30 LCL TIME, WE (CAPT AND I) DEPARTED THE SANTA FE, NM, COUNTY MUNICIPAL ARPT. CAPT WAS THE PF ON THE DO328 TO COS. WE WERE GIVEN THE POAKE 1 DEP, TAOS TRANSITION WHICH READS 'INTERCEPT AND PROCEED VIA SANTA FE R354 TO POAKE INTXN, CROSS 8 DME N OF SANTA FE VORTAC AT OR BELOW 9000 FT, CROSS POAKE INTXN AT OR ABOVE 10000 FT, THENCE, VIA ASSIGNED TRANSITION OR RTE.' THERE WAS AN AIRSHOW IN PROGRESS AT THE TIME OF DEP. WE HAD THE INTENTION OF CLBING OUT OF THE ARPT AREA AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID ANY PERFORMING ACFT. BECAUSE WE WERE CLBING SO QUICKLY AND LOOKING OUTSIDE FOR PERFORMING ACFT, WE CLBED UP TO APPROX 10500 FT XING THE 8 DME FIX, WHERE WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT 9000 FT OR BELOW. THE ZAB CTLR ASKED US ABOUT THE ALT RESTR APPROX 15 SECONDS AFTER I REALIZED THE MISTAKE. THE MISTAKE MAY HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY BEING MORE AWARE OF THE ALT RESTRS OR BY REQUESTING AN UNRESTR CLB TO GIVEN ALT ON DEP. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 371302: WE HAD BEEN CLRED THE POAKE 1 DEP FROM SANTA FE ARPT. IT WAS BRIEFED, BUT I NEGLECTED TO BRIEF THE XING RESTR OF AT OR BELOW 9000 FT AT 8 DME. IT WAS THE END OF 6 FULL DAYS OF FLYING -- BOTH OF US WERE EXTREMELY TIRED. BOTH OF US ARE USUALLY STICKLERS FOR DETAIL AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT WE HAD LET THIS OVERSIGHT OCCUR.
