Narrative:
Aircraft tailcone struck jet bridge upon leaving gate. Guideman was positioned at my 10 O'clock position, watching left wing and tailcone. She gave me right turn signal and after 30 degrees of turn she indicated clear of aircraft in front of us, guideman was waved off. Continued turn at same rate and tailcone struck rubber fairing of jet bridge. Corrective action: second wing walker/guideman under left wing to better view tailcone movement as turn progresses. Guidemen/guidewomen should be cautioned to watch tail clearance more intently. Jet bridges should be withdrawn further away from aircraft prior to departure. Note: in this case aircraft was on non revenue, maintenance, ferry flight. Damage to aircraft was slight.
