Narrative:
Returning from aerobatic training area, received ATIS, contacted myf tower and cleared to land #2 straight-in to runway 28L following cherokee traffic abeam the tower (south of field). In-flight visibility extremely poor due to haze and setting sun. Finally located traffic approximately 2 mi ahead and set up for final approach. Tower extremely busy with poor visibility and lots of traffic to both runway 28L/right. On very short final to runway 28L, 300 ft AGL, an aircraft at the hold short says 'hey tower, you've got 2 aircraft landing on runway 28L.' tower instructs C182RG close to my left side to go around. He was already in go around. Contacted tower afterwards, and he remembered clearing me to land straight-in on runway 28L, but thought he had changed me back to the right. He had been distraction by another conflict on runway 28R and had been correcting that, and then issued a change of runway. We all know situational awareness plays such an important part of aviation whenever you're trying to shoot down another aircraft or just sitting at the hold short! I'm glad the guy on the ground was checking my six, I don't think the other guy saw me till the last min. He was above me. I feel for the tower controller -- only 1 guy, no help, poor conditions, tons of traffic, and an ex-military helicopter pilot besides.

Title: NMAC BTWN 2 SMA SEL'S APCHING TO LAND ON THE SAME PARALLEL RWY ON SHORT FINAL AT APPROX 300 FT AGL. PLT HOLDING SHORT OF THE RWY ALERTED TWR ABOUT THE 2 ACFT CAUSING TWR TO SEND AROUND THE OTHER ACFT WHO WAS ALREADY INITIATING A GAR. RPTR CONTINUED TO LAND UNEVENTFULLY.
