Narrative:

On jul/gg/97 aircraft rudder limiter was MEL'ed inoperative. Into our second flight in aircraft on jul/MM/97, we noticed that on jul/jj/97 the 180 KT airspeed required (as per the MEL) had been exceeded. Upon landing we notified maintenance and secured a letter from the manufacturer (saab) that with the information given, no damage occurred. Current company policies and procedures do not adequately prevent this situation from occurring. I believe a placard in the cockpit would solve the problem. On day of occurrence we had 4 aircraft in 6 legs making situation more difficult.
