Narrative:
When approaching yth VOR, winnipeg center advised us that we were off centerline of airway approaching yth. We were using the delco INS's and had not been over a VOR since leaving nrt en route to jfk. Thus, we could not update the INS's. Upon landing, the navigation INS had a 12 mi error, which was within limits for the length of our flight. Would sure like to have more accurate INS's such as the litton INS's in our B747's.
