Narrative:
We were on the FBO ramp ready for taxi and taxied up to taxiway M and we blocked the entrance as hawker was on taxiway M. My copilot evidently called us on taxiway M, when we could have made turn around to let the hawker on the ramp. The hawker instead gave way to us by instruction of ground control. The call shouldn't have been made by my copilot and we could have easily turned around on ramp to let the hawker in. By telling ground we were on taxiway M, it caused the need to have the hawker let us by first before he continued to the ramp.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF A GULFSTREAM, G3, INADVERTENTLY BLOCKED THE ENTRANCE TO THE RAMP ON WHICH THEY WERE DEPARTING BY THE FO ADVISING THE TWR THAT THEY WERE ALREADY ON THE TXWY THAT AN INCOMING BRITISH AIRSPACE, HS25, HAWKER WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE RAMP OFF OF. THIS RESULTED IN THE HAWKER MOVING OUT OF THE WAY TO LET THE RPTR OUT OF THE RAMP WHEN THE RPTR FELT THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER FOR HIM TO GIVE AWAY ON THE RAMP AREA.
Narrative: WE WERE ON THE FBO RAMP READY FOR TAXI AND TAXIED UP TO TXWY M AND WE BLOCKED THE ENTRANCE AS HAWKER WAS ON TXWY M. MY COPLT EVIDENTLY CALLED US ON TXWY M, WHEN WE COULD HAVE MADE TURN AROUND TO LET THE HAWKER ON THE RAMP. THE HAWKER INSTEAD GAVE WAY TO US BY INSTRUCTION OF GND CTL. THE CALL SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN MADE BY MY COPLT AND WE COULD HAVE EASILY TURNED AROUND ON RAMP TO LET THE HAWKER IN. BY TELLING GND WE WERE ON TXWY M, IT CAUSED THE NEED TO HAVE THE HAWKER LET US BY FIRST BEFORE HE CONTINUED TO THE RAMP.
