Narrative:

ATC did not advise air carrier flight of jump plane. Jump plane appeared on TCASII +500 ft and TCASII RA directed 2000 FPM climb, as jump plane dived across air carrier nose. No visual contact. ATC had advised jump plane of our location and encouraged that plane to descend through our altitude. Cabin service was in progress and no flight attendant was hurt. FAA ATC person on my jump seat said jump plane was too close to clouds/FAA controller had opportunity to advise air carrier of danger.
