Narrative:
Took off from cdr. Poor climb performance. No gear down indicators light on final to home field (CA35). Also no 'gear unsafe' indicator. Aborted landing, climbed to safe altitude (2500 ft AGL) and tried to recycle gear. No servo motor sounds heard, no pitch changes noted. Tried emergency gear down lever. Tried reducing map and airspeed to engage 'landomatic' system. Tried recycling gear twice more. Still no gear down lights and no gear unsafe light. No warning horn now or when I reduced airspeed and map. Did low approach to county air field (O56) while talking with observer on the ground. He reported that all 3 gear appeared down and locked. Flew back to home field, did full stall landing. On rollout the nose suddenly rose up and the plane began sliding like it was on ice. I killed the engine and tried to stay on the landing strip with rudder. The plane slid about 1000 ft and, at end of runway, slid left off into weeds. Upon inspection, the nose gear was down and locked, the main gear were partially extended. Also noted the 'gear control' circuit breaker was popped out. Damage included worn right side step, worn tail tie-down ring, inboard aft corner of left flap curled. The plane was placed on jacks and the main gear were manually extended and locked. The plane was then pushed back onto the runway, engine restarted and taxied to my hangar. I have reported the incident to the FAA and they are investigating.

Title: A PIPER PA28-201T INCURRED DAMAGE ON LNDG WITH PARTIALLY EXTENDED MAIN LNDG GEAR DUE TO THE GEAR CTL CIRCUIT BREAKER BEING OPEN.
Narrative: TOOK OFF FROM CDR. POOR CLB PERFORMANCE. NO GEAR DOWN INDICATORS LIGHT ON FINAL TO HOME FIELD (CA35). ALSO NO 'GEAR UNSAFE' INDICATOR. ABORTED LNDG, CLBED TO SAFE ALT (2500 FT AGL) AND TRIED TO RECYCLE GEAR. NO SERVO MOTOR SOUNDS HEARD, NO PITCH CHANGES NOTED. TRIED EMER GEAR DOWN LEVER. TRIED REDUCING MAP AND AIRSPD TO ENGAGE 'LANDOMATIC' SYS. TRIED RECYCLING GEAR TWICE MORE. STILL NO GEAR DOWN LIGHTS AND NO GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT. NO WARNING HORN NOW OR WHEN I REDUCED AIRSPD AND MAP. DID LOW APCH TO COUNTY AIR FIELD (O56) WHILE TALKING WITH OBSERVER ON THE GND. HE RPTED THAT ALL 3 GEAR APPEARED DOWN AND LOCKED. FLEW BACK TO HOME FIELD, DID FULL STALL LNDG. ON ROLLOUT THE NOSE SUDDENLY ROSE UP AND THE PLANE BEGAN SLIDING LIKE IT WAS ON ICE. I KILLED THE ENG AND TRIED TO STAY ON THE LNDG STRIP WITH RUDDER. THE PLANE SLID ABOUT 1000 FT AND, AT END OF RWY, SLID L OFF INTO WEEDS. UPON INSPECTION, THE NOSE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED, THE MAIN GEAR WERE PARTIALLY EXTENDED. ALSO NOTED THE 'GEAR CTL' CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED OUT. DAMAGE INCLUDED WORN R SIDE STEP, WORN TAIL TIE-DOWN RING, INBOARD AFT CORNER OF L FLAP CURLED. THE PLANE WAS PLACED ON JACKS AND THE MAIN GEAR WERE MANUALLY EXTENDED AND LOCKED. THE PLANE WAS THEN PUSHED BACK ONTO THE RWY, ENG RESTARTED AND TAXIED TO MY HANGAR. I HAVE RPTED THE INCIDENT TO THE FAA AND THEY ARE INVESTIGATING.
